Based on Luther's understanding of 'the two Kingdoms', the project report discusses a person's responsibility as a steward of God's creation and the Christian's involvement in the church and the state.  A distinction is made between the management of the church as an institution and the management of ministry. Local church teachers participated in an individual and group reflection process  based on Thomas Groome's 'shared praxis' approach.  Pre- and post-process measurements indicated an increase in the teachers' valuing of their own faith experience, satisfaction in teaching and sense of purpose of teaching. It was applied to narratives collected from three groups discussing dreams and two groups discussing religious concerns at two nursing homes. It proved to be consistently useful in opening both dreams and biblical narratives to discussion and interpretation. It considers the feelings of some leaders of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania towards folk healing and presents a view of human wholesomeness and health, sickness, suffering, death and life after death from a biblical point of view. Health and healing is grounded in a doctrine of creation and in a modeling of ministry in Jesus's work as a servant. When utilized, feedback can also enrich preaching. Following the examination of the components and phases of the process of communication, this dissertation describes the nature and role of feedback in modifying sermon content and delivery, identifies the sources, bases, and forms of acquiring feedback to preaching, and tests and evaluates some methods for acquiring feedback from a small group within a congregational setting.  Included are the procedure followed in organizing the feedback group and the steps in the development and utilization of feedback forms.
