From this, a teaching module was developed that served as a catalyst to inspire children to acquire attitudes changes that lead to positive conflict resolution. The project incorporates the virtues of the fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and the principles of Kwanzaa which served as the foundation of the project. Seventy-five percent of the pilot group made a positive change toward shalom. Ten pastors who have experienced a forced exit are interviewed. Their insights are combined with parallel research that has studied the involuntary termination of chief executive officers. The results of this research form the basis of a workshop for current pastors. The changes that take place during the adolescent years affect not only the adolescent but the parents as well.  This project will equip parents to face the often turbulent adolescent years with confidence.  The project will be accomplished by enlisting parents to meet once a week over a period of ten weeks for one hour each time.  Parents will demonstrate their understanding of some of the issues that confront adolescents and parents during the adolescent years.  This will be accomplished by identifying areas of need in their own family, understanding the roles and responsibilities of training adolescents, discovering ways of improving the parent/adolescent relationship, and by evaluating parental influence in the home. The adolescents of the parents in the control group will also be involved in a separate three week session. Through an ethnographic study of church members, colleagues, and youth, I study how confirmation classes were taught. I trace changes from a modern to a post modern church and show why ways of teaching confirmation using limited methods no longer work in our post modern church. I examine Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, apply his theory both to classroom teaching and to theological methods and metaphors, and begin to develop- a confirmation program using multiple intelligence theory and multiple theologies. The project had four components.  First, the author used the marketing tools of surveys and focus groups to listen to the boomers.  Second, she created a three-tiered educational structure.  Track 1 included lectures on the Bible and ethics. Track 2 employed book studies to develop a spiritual language.  Track 3 focused on prayer techniques.  Third, the courses were designed using professional teaching models.  Lastly, the author evaluated the structure via surveys and interviews.
