In response to this problem the researcher conducted an in-depth qualitative study of self-measurement tools in which he compared these tools to a biblical gauge for self-measurement.  He then led ten undergraduate students through a semester-long discipleship program that centered on the tests that he deemed most appropriate. Such cohesion enables the preacher to avoid the danger of fragmentation. The gospel of Matthew is chosen as a test case to demonstrate how a theme-based approach to the Scriptures facilitates the identification of a book's literary structure and central ideas of the text. This approach to the biblical text reveals Matthew's theological framework. Because this framework exposes the central ideas of a book's literary structure, it aids in sermon preparation. The first step will involve in-depth research of FBCH's trends in the past ten years and a demographic study of the make-up of both the church and the community. The research will be conducted using FBCH's last ten Annual Church Profile reports as well as recorded church history. the demographic study will be conducted using data from the United States Census Bureau's 2010 census. Next, a team of lay-leaders from FBCH (2020 Team) will be chosen by the project director for the threefold purpose of: (1) assisting the project director in evaluating the overall health of the church, (2) giving insight to the overall strategy of revitalization and (3) help in setting goals for the year 2020. The project director will meet with the 2020 Team for at least five sessions to accomplish this threefold purpose. If the church follows the methodology of enterprise management, the church will gradually become a secular non-profit organization. At the same time, the church has its own spiritual mission, and needs to be managed according to the Bible and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, does the church still need to employ the enterprise management concepts? Some people uphold that the church needs to incorporate the elements of enterprise management; however, some argue that the enterprise management methodologies will restrict the leading of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, there have been some great controversies in the area of church management. Subsequently, it demonstrates that the Pyongyang revival possessed limitations due to its historical context, and that is how the prayer revival of 1857-1859 can be used to revitalize the prayer practices of the Korean-American church. The two revivals shared many things in common: both of them occurred in the midst of crisis and helped people to overcome the difficulties, prayer played a major role, and they were influenced by other global revivals and also influenced them. However, significant differences occurred between them. The prayer revival was solemn, led by lay leadership, and had strong emphasis on the conversion of the lost.
