A spiritual theology was developed based upon an interpretation of Matthew 5-7 through a theological framework of Christian spiritual formation.  A literature review demonstrates the uniqueness of Christian spirituality, specifically in prayer, within contemporary western culture.  Second, survey research was conducted to determine current formation realities.  The spiritual theology and survey data were synthesized to design a comprehensive pathway for congregational spiritual formation. An underuse of power could lead to a general malaise in the church: a lack of direction and passion for the Lord's work. This thesis-project was a leadership awareness study of the nature of power and authority in the role of pastoral leadership in which the biblical and theological perspectives on the issue of pastoral authority were explored. The purpose of the thesis entitled 'Revitalization and Reconciliation of Worship in the Southern District Convocation of the United Church of America' give you an idea the authors desire to aid in revitalization and restoration of worship within the United Holy Church so that a practical theology of worship can be developed, incorporating traditional devotional-style worship and contemporary-style praise and worship. The author's objective in this project begins with identification of the two scopes of worship, traditional devotional-style worship, with its focus on spontaneous worship, and contemporary praise and worship, with its emphasis on a rehearsed worship. The content of this thesis project involves identifying the problem and its setting and presenting a theological framework, literature review, methodology of research, and outcome of the project. HOLD the children's work is patterned after the Two Hands Ministry Model of Jesus. The Bible has much to say about poverty and peoples responsibilities concerning it. Development experts estimate 1.4 billion people live in extreme poverty-subsisting on a {dollar}1 a day or less. There is extensive debate over how to effectively eradicate extreme poverty. Haiti, the context for this case study, is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere where 78 percent of its people live in poverty. A significant problem in Haiti is hunger. H. Henrys' life and thoughts serve as the focal point for an analysis of the relationship of 'revival' and 'renewal of the mind.' The relationship is examined biblically, theologically, and historically. The results are then applied to Henry's life and works for evidence regarding the hypothesis of its proxy that faith and reason are related. It is concluded that the biblical, theological, and historical dimensions of the relationship are coherent and consistent with Henry's life and works.
