Study reveals that pastors are drawn to the denomination as a result of reformed theology, the divine call to racial reconciliation, and the desire to plants churches as a strategy to build the kingdom of God. A reflection-in-action (Schön) method evolved built on Argyris' double-loop learning using the work of Bowen, Friedman, and Steinke. This study examined a system for resuscitating and healing churches that have suffered trauma. The hypothesis is that empathy, justice-mindedness, and humility, partnership with the Godhead, and koinonia, are the prescription for resuscitating and healing a church that has been traumatized. A qualitative methodology was employed utilizing surveys, interviews, and observations. Through the research the writer tried to suggest the methods to understand the conflict of the church members under the negative impact of the conflict in the church rightly and to show the biblical solution of the conflict. The author made the surveys of the people who finished the 4-week small group Bible studies and then compared the changes of the peiople before and after the Bible studies by analyzing the answers of the questionnaires. This study utilized semi-structured interviews with twelve pastors in the Reformed Church in America focusing on leadership skills and transition, power and authority dynamics, and staff relations. The study revealed that the transition from solo to senior pastorate affects personal and professional aspects of the pastor's life.
