A prison sentence affords women time to reflect on their lives and accept the salvation that Jesus Christ offers. This curriculum emphasized issues of self-worth, abuse, forgiveness, the development of a biblically accurate view of God, guidance toward spiritual maturity and a plan for continued relationship with Christ after parole. This dissertation examines the following: an overview of spiritual growth for individuals and churches, online tools for personal growth, and online environments created by local churches for Internet users. The project then continues with an explanation of research procedure and an argument for the legitimacy of the case study method. He then reports the research formulated by the case studies. All three churches studied are rather large in size, each of them differs in culture and structure. However, there are commonalities in how their online environments facilitate spiritual growth, which supports the hypothesis. From Romans 12:2 the thesis looks at how the church has embraced the patterns of the world and how the process moves them from those patterns towards Christ and his Kingdom values. Two (Action Research) churches went through the Looking process and developed next steps to begin participating with God in mission. With insights from this review and an exploration of pedagogical methods, a mystagogy of the Sacrament of Penance was designed and shared with a group of adult Catholics. A survey was conducted and then the leaders made changes to their model of leadership shifting from a 'top-down model' to a model that empowered others and shared authority. A second survey measured congregational responses to the changes. To counteract this immaturity, he designed 'Changing Christian Hearts and Lives,' group study material that offers a practical way for the Korean church to overcome this difficulty. This project focused on transition models and two case studies that illustrate positive retirement strategies. The report asked, 'How well can we prepare for transition, retirement, or change so that it is a 'non-emergency'? What does good leadership look like in times of transition?' This research project examined the leadership structure in selected Chinese churches in Northern California to see which structures are resulting in ministry effectiveness. By examining selected churches and particularly the relationships between the senior pastor, pastoral staff, and key lay leaders, it is desired to determine which structural model works best for this present time. At times their role is not clearly defined. As a result some care groups function like a social group without spiritual direction. This research project addresses the training needs of care group leaders by developing a training program that attends to the main functions of a care group leader. The threefold office of Christ as prophet, priest, and king is used as a model to guide the development of the training program.
