The vision for the church is to become a church 'where the meeting with Jesus Christ transforms me, you and the world, and to become a church for ones entire life.' My thesis is founded in the needing for a new role of pastoral leadership for this church. Interviews have been done in nine congregations. The conclusion from the research is the pastor's role is to be a Servant Leader who helps others become healthier, wiser, freer, more autonomous. 'Gae chuck sok hui' (planting class meeting) begins with one leader who forms his own class meeting. Touching on etymological, biblical and church theological influences, Hwa Cheon First Church was the subject of research. Those organizations plan, resource, and prosecute military operations in support of National defense and security interests. However, the Army, Air Force, or Navy chaplaincies currently do not prepare military chaplains to advise strategic military commanders on the implications of religious affairs. The author was managing editor for Joint Publication 1-05 'Religious affairs in joint operations,' November 2009 and followed Department of Defense standards for developing and publishing Joint doctrine. The author researched biblical models of leadership transition and interviewed clergy for their input in creating this tool. A draft of this transition tool was used by two congregations during their respective transitions in clergy leadership. This is intended to help churches and church members grow through pastoral transformation towards diaconial ministry through listening to a series of sermons and participation in social service activities. The dissertation is made up of a theological part and a pastoral practical part.  In the theological part, I will explore the biblical understanding of diaconia and modern theological understanding. In the practical part, I would like to suggest and practice diaconia ministry by renewing all areas of ministry. There are several considerations: rooted in Tongan Wesleyan heritage, have a contemporary youth worship in the English language, 'coconut theology' and effects, the non-trained preachers and the loss of skills to sing the Tongan musical notes. This dissertation responds to the challenges above and presents ideas and practices in the areas of leadership, worship, preaching, singing, theology and multicultural education. These ideas and practices were presented in a workshop to train leaders. Using Wesley's spiritual experience, this research explores the necessity of an artistic ministry based on a theology of art, and applies it to the ministry of Gochon Church. This thesis analyzes the effects on local residents through practice of temporal arts (arts based on tempo) as manifested by the Gimpo Youth orchestra and professional artists, and spatial art in the Gochon Church building, which includes Café Theba, Cross gallery, and a professional art hall. However two Christian communities that are both marginalized by mainstream Christianity further divide God's realm if they are distrustful of each other. To move from suspicion to agape love, each community must find common ground on which to begin to speak prophetically and compassionately to each other and the General Church. This project creates a worship service devoted to healing that was designed by members from both communities. Then by means of a questionnaire the project examines whether working together to create and execute this service had any impact on the theology of praxis of interaction between the two communities both from their respective viewpoints and from the viewpoint of the white heterosexual members who comprise the majority of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
