This project uses a case study research method to answer the question, 'What is the impact of a whole-brain design of worship and education on the attitudes, actions, and thoughts of congregational members in their everyday lives?' To better understand attitudes about cohabitation, selected young adults were invited into a dialogue. Storytelling, brief counseling, biblical topics, and social interaction were coordinated to encourage group participation and self-learning. At the conclusion of the study, cohabitating couples revealed their decisions to marry or not to marry. Borgmann believes the most concrete expression of technology is the device that delivers a commodity with minimal involvement in the processes that create that commodity. Consumers in a technological culture default to a 'device paradigm' that shapes their worldview and drives them to commoditize focal realities and sacred things. People expect to enjoy thick spiritual experiences without participating in the processes that create and cultivate such experiences.
