The author asked how to help in recovering intimacy among elderly couples through a sexuality-centered education program.  With nine couples aged sixty-five years or older, the seminar was conducted over three days of intensive retreat. All the participants' responses were very positive and productive. The project explores how a theology of play may deepen understandings of worship and allow for the recover of a joyful attitude about a church's life together. The author of this work was pastor of an urban church, the majority of whose members did not live in the community. The church's urban neighbors, local public housing residents, partnered with the church and other faith leaders to defend their rights as they were being pushed aside for the redevelopment of the city's public housing units. Focus was given to the sophomore level internship courses to create an observation level experience designed to engage the Northwest culture. The author researched models of contextual theology in preparation for student experiences. Ultimately the project led to a successful grant proposal to the M. J. This project proposes a holistic framework that might guide congregations in the work of healing and reconciliation. The report focuses on the relationship of two churches, one Black and one White, and explores the role dialogue plays in the healing journey of reconciliation.
