The project director developed an equipping guide, a teaching plan, and a PowerPoint presentation under the supervision of several professionals in the field and utilized them all during a weekend equipping workshop. The project director designed and administered a series of pre and post-tests to measure the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor effectiveness of the workshop. At the completion of the workshop, he evaluated the tests under the supervision of a professional in the field. The evaluations of the tests affirmed the workshop as a success. The curriculum design consisted of seven one-hour and fifteen minute sessions. Eighteen selected leaders met on Wednesday evenings at First Baptist Church, Livingston, Louisiana. The seven sessions addressed the following church conflict management issues: defining conflict and identifying sources of conflict, identifying biblical examples and principles of conflict, discovering conflict management styles, identifying levels of conflict, and utilizing a collaborative problem-solving process as a conflict manager. The project goals included researching how to manage church conflict for the training of the selected leaders, developing the teaching plans in order to equip the selected leaders in conflict management skills, and equipping selected leaders in conflict management skills. The project results were mixed, but mostly encouraging. Project participants were challenged and stretched regarding their attitudes, perceptions and theology. They became aware of essential diversity issues and personal behaviors that were incongruent with appropriate belief. They were inspired and empowered to participate and take ownership in initiating change of their own culture. The project considers the questions of what level of emotional readiness is needed to serve effectively in ministry and what limitations prohibit an individual from serving productively in parish ministry. The components of the project included researching current missions mobilization strategies, developing a workshop to equip selected leaders to implement a missions mobilization strategy, and equipping the selected leaders to implement the missions mobilization strategy. Experts were enlisted to help establish a standard for both research and workshop component quality. The project director's professional goals included increasing the project director's knowledge of missions mobilization strategies and skills in instructional theory and practice. Participants were seven adults from Good Tree Christian Fellowship who experienced an offense leading to negative emotions. The Enright Forgiveness Inventory measured changes in participants' affect, behavior, and cognition towards an offender. All participants showed growth in each domain with a group average of 26.7% in affect, 10.0% in behavior, and 8.3% in cognition.
