This project focuses on families in a particular congregation, and upon the noticeable impact of intentional Sabbath practices within their homes. The Participatory Action Research model of qualitative research is utilized in the development of this project. After surveying his context, the author facilitated a series of presentations on Sabbath. Following an extended period of time for participants to engage Sabbath practices, further data is collected. The before and after data are contrasted. A set of guiding questions was designed to lead teachers to plan class experiences. The guiding questions were pre-tested, interviews were conducted, and the guiding questions were refined. A teacher used the guiding questions to create and lead an adult class. The resulting class was observed and evaluated. Follow-up interviews evaluated the guiding questions in diverse settings. Soldiers were administered a pre-test/posttest quantitative design to measure the differences that came from participating in the four-week prayer project aimed at premeditating combat experiences. The project discovered improvements in spiritual and relational well-being based on the participant's responses, including greater knowledge of the biblical laments, increased positive relationship with oneself, God and others. The sessions were held during eight weeks with two hours per session consisting of lectures, Power Point presentations, experiential exercises, and journaling. The six participants were assessed through pre- and post-test consisting of a Likert scale instrument as well as open-ended questions.  The transformation process in the six participants' was assessed following the eight-week sessions. Using a pro-active research method, members were surveyed and interviewed, resulting in a grief program which includes education, grief groups and systematic follow-up. It was discovered during the project that evangelism was a surprising benefit of the grief process. Their belief is that Paul has been misunderstood as excluding the Jews from the realm of God's grace. This project explores the implications of scholarly debate over the translation of the Greek phrase 'pistis Christou' for the life of the contemporary church. For the modern church, this trend in contemporary scholarship offers resources to profoundly impact a pluralistic world. The project was conducted as a twelve-week, weekly small group experience. Specifically considered in this dissertation are the shame wounds of men. The degree of impact for this project was determined by five goals. The results conclude that HCG does positively impact the inner healing of men. This project focused on a group of preachers who gathered to engage scripture in creative ways and then to continue practices individually. The author explored ways in which intentionally making time for spiritual practices affects the preacher as well as the sermon. The research involved a twelve-week study of a lectionary group of preachers, interviews of numerous preachers outside the group, and journal entries. Using a 5 level-Likert scale questionnaire, the toolkit was evaluated by clergy, pastoral counselors, and lay church members. The toolkit was evaluated for potential usefulness, current helping models of practice, comprehensiveness, conciseness, accessibility, and potential for favorable outcomes. Quantitative data was analyzed using predictive analytics software and qualitative questionnaire data analyzed using a conceptually clustered matrix.
