The goal was to enhance the awareness of congregants and members of the surrounding community to better understand the problems and issues regarding ministry to the incarcerated and their families. The data were collected and analyzed from three workshops conducted to evaluate the pre and post understanding of participants pertaining to incarceration. First, this project reviews important historical markers in the development of Baptist theological education, making particular note of significant changes which have occurred in the past twenty years.Second, this project reviews recent research, by making use of data collected through orientation surveys, institutionally held demographic statistics, Association of Theological Schools (ATS) reports, phone interviews with institutions, and other publicly available research. The third part of this project draws on research in the areas of higher education, generational theory, marketing and organizational theory to help reveal ways institutions of theological education may evolve in order to adapt to changing cultural contexts. The research design is qualitative. The researcher interviewed individuals to collect data on the integration and practice of the disciplines. Each church believes the disciplines aid renewal and transformation of lives. Through modeling, intentionally teaching, and through personal experiences the selected churches successfully integrated the disciplines into individual believers. Because of the diversity of the churches, their methods are transferable. In order to provide a theoretical framework for inter-religious dialogue, this project suggests a cross-cultural interpretation as a remedy that would serve to avoid cultural and religious struggles in Korean society. The project also explores a concrete example of cross-cultural interpretation. This project uses qualitative research to explore the relationship between a particular congregation's knowledge of and attitude toward their worship space and their willingness to welcome the stranger. After examining data collected through semi-structured interviews and focus group meetings, dedicated core members, including church officers, worked to discern God's call regarding their practice of hospitality. My quest is to discover if the training works. This project asks the following questions: Does T-net training make an impact on a church's ability to grow numerically through people coming to Christ? Do churches that have gone through T-net training experience an increased number of committed followers of Jesus Christ? Do T-net trained churches experience an increased number of leaders who are competent to lead? Do they have an increased sense of community? Do T-net trained churches have an increased number of members who are committed to Scripture? A thorough study was done in the literature to analyze what constitutes the key components of discipleship. A questionnaire was written to discover the impact T-net training has had on the discipleship in selected churches in the Midwest area. The senior pastors were independently interviewed. The staff, with the exception of the senior pastor was interviewed together. Also, a group of lay leadership from each of the selected churches was interviewed. These results were carefully compiled and analyzed for patterns.
