From the literature she studied historical, theological, psychological, socio-political and economic factors.  The author's field research includes a leadership survey and a related case study for peer discussion groups on a focus group of twenty-five Black Christian female respondents who are leaders or emerging leaders.  She presents a theological context of women walking in calling and potential as kings and priests unto God who practice and administer a biblical framework of social justice and fairness in their respective spheres of influence. She concludes that Black women have made great strides but there are many areas in life that continue to have only token expressions, if that, of Black women. A qualitative method of research was employed to determine the most effective type of leadership needed for homeless ministries. Fifty leaders from fourteen shelters in five states were surveyed. Interviews with the executive directors of these shelters were also conducted. This project is an exploration of the assertion that parents and church leaders should guide their children in order to lay foundations for faith.  As a practical application of this assertion the author provides a curriculum for postmodern families to access as an at-home worship and Bible study experience.  The paper includes a theology for the family, an exploration of the church's role in spiritual formation, and the literature review. The author conducted this project at Walden Correctional Institution in Columbia, South Carolina. Walden is a minimum security correctional institution. In undertaking this study the author seeks to understand the impact, effect and affect that recidivism makes in the lives of men who frequently go in-and-out of corrections. Also, he seeks to understand the impact, effect and affect that recidivism has on the inmates' family and community. This project proposes that a man who frequently goes in-and-out of corrections has experienced acute dysfunction and or woundedness through poor parental relationships, poor or no formal education, and poor or no relationship with God. The author uses an action research methodology whereby he is able to invite the inmates to share their autobiographical stories, reframe them with a view toward dramatically altering their lifestyles. It is the hope of the author that the inmates will have genuine and authentic learning experiences which will transform their lives, renew their minds and empower them by faith to get out of corrections and stay out. The three core areas of the seminars are: (1) Discover the idea - learn how to identify the 'big idea' of a biblical passage; (2) Develop the idea - learn how to logically develop the biblical idea for presentation to a target audience; (3) Deliver the idea - learn how to implement a few key steps to communicate the logically-developed biblical idea to a target audience. The process is designed for those who have limited training. The author maintains that through united prayer, God offers the opportunity to achieve progress which will not occur through any other means.  After examining biblical precedents for praying together in the Old and New Testaments, including the life of Jesus and the practice of the early church, this work assesses the challenge of maintaining a practical balance between prayer and action in the life of the church and individual believers. There is a predictable development pattern for the EM in a typical immigrant church, and key steps that must be taken in order to allow it to grow to maturity. Two areas that are explored in detail are leadership development, including leadership structure, and the influence of ethnic identity and other factors on the decision of adult ABCs about attendance of a Chinese church.
