The topic 'The American dreamer' discusses Richard Rorty's philosophic contributions necessary for the solidification of the postmodern agenda, to know his passion to dismantle traditional objective rationale, and to establish a social utopia whose center is without God. The task is directed toward practical disciplines necessary to discern the mindset and sensibilities of the age. The author interviewed 13 of the largest Chinese churches in the San Francisco Bay area to discover their candidating process.  As a result, key principles and a ministry model were developed to clarify these issues. It is a study of ten Brethren churches in Singapore. Using the case study method, the study considers the process undertaken by the churches in identifying potential leaders, encouraging and preparing them for leadership, and appointing them to assume full leadership responsibilities in the local churches as elders, thus ensuring leadership continuity. The analysis of the research was synthesized into twelve significant observations. It focuses on COGIC pks who share thier stories. Findings reveal that home life is foremost in relation to impact on identity formation. Three pk types were established, in response to growing up under the authority of a preacher/parent.
