What was done in the area of motivation to equip the congregation to become as evangelistically minded as it was effective in the implementation of evangelism? The project showed what happens when the total congregation becomes involved in witnessing for Christ. The project is broken down into three parts: seven principles of transition from God's word, wisdom from leaders who have 'been there \u0026 done that'. This research thesis examines both biblical and Confucian teachings on four key concepts, 'human dignity,' 'suffering,' 'suicide,' and 'life after death,' pertaining to end-of-life issues. The focus of application is on patient autonomy, physician-assisted suicide, and decisions on withholding or withdrawing life-sustaining treatment. The goal is to provide a biblical foundation to a pro-life position and to gain insight on what one needs to be aware of when making end-of-life decisions in a Chinese-Confucian context. The researcher studied four local churches trying to re-engage their communities through missional involvement. The main reason for this appears to be cultural;  a Korean cherishes his honor and tends to keep up appearances. The Korean term for this is che myun. To overcome this cultural barrier, the project leader developed the delayed-response invitation program. He projects this program to be a more effective invitation method for Korean people than the immediate-response invitation. The project involved evangelistic preaching, the project leader made an announcement that a class would start the following week for those interested in learning more about the Christian faith. Those who responded to such an invitation were connected automatically to a four-week teaching program. A theological and hermeneutical case is made for the use of a conversational homiletic and the tested in a congregational setting. Included are sermons based on 'texts' from the arts placed in conversation with biblical texts preached in an urban congregation. Parishioners verified the validity of the project thesis through group and individual discussion and a congregational survey.
