Denominations have primarily offered a consultant and training model, but many, including the Tennessee Baptist Convention, are beginning to recognize the value of a coach approach to serve their constituents. The project was completed in three phases. Phase one involved investigating the field of coaching. The research increased the project director's knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of coaching and how to utilize these to coach teams as well as individuals. Phase two centered on applying the research to the project director's job as a ministry strategist with the Tennessee Baptist Convention. The project director compiled a manual which was published online for the use of the Ministry Strategist Team. The final stage involved demonstrating the director's increased skill in the area of coaching. A coaching session was conducted and the project director's performance was evaluated."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5e492469-490e-44a3-90c1-17560a603bc2"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799715424016793600,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T01:46:16.725Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T11:15:11Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:05:47Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"90cc7a94-ff54-4873-ba0a-1372998af785","accessControl_ssim":["6dc5f2e4-5dbb-4b71-addc-199d0334803f"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Pilgrimage leadership: facilitating liminality for transformation: a case study"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T11:15:08Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:22:35Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["ce2c3835-8e0c-4dbd-ade5-48d9ce9b87e7"],"hasLease_ssim":["0d8291c4-6c89-42cb-9454-3bce7a6beebd"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["William Harkins"],"year_tesim":["2007"],"location_tesim":["Ireland"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Lynne McNaughton"],"publisher_tesim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Leadership--Religious aspects--Christianity","Faith development","Pilgrims and pilgrimages"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Participants on a pilgrimage to Ireland in 2005 tell stories of personal spiritual transformation. Those traits are as follows: friendship with God, healthy relationships, exemplary lives, heavenly minded, lavish communications, and generating additional leaders."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b5eba5c2-141b-4673-9689-2f9720736859"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127673655787520,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:47:39.770Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T11:14:33Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:14:54Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"ca1e7978-a40e-4b02-b926-6ef7373e7723","accessControl_ssim":["ae0f6a3c-5930-4fa9-b100-a059c3ed9d62"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Beyond entertainment: children as leaders of worship"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T11:14:32Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:56:11Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["b626b039-2b63-43c1-89b9-e6f578d46d3c"],"hasLease_ssim":["a05c432f-a138-4c13-99e6-25c70a363076"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Kathy L Dawson"],"year_tesim":["2007"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Anna Virginia Dempsey"],"publisher_tesim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Children--Religious life","Child development","Worship"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["At Briarcliff Baptist Church, children have been seen as entertainers and not as leaders of worship. A program evaluation instrument was prepared in the form of a survey that was included in every teacher's manual of the beginner, primary and junior curriculum during the summer 2005 quarter (June, July, August). Through the use of thirty definitive statements and three open-ended questions, the evaluation instrument examined the quality and effectiveness of four areas of the curriculum as observed by the teacher: the teacher's manual, the learner's manual, the make and take portion, and the visual aids. The author found that the curriculum researched did not help the teacher teach the Bible as accurately, plainly, age-appropriately and applicationally as it should. In practical terms, this means the study found strengths to be built upon and weaknesses to be corrected."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Dallas Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["8322f611-a593-413a-8bcd-0011fba52dc7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791130811453407232,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:37:32.207Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":13089,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
