Thus while the Igbo naming ceremony makes one an Igbo, the rite of baptism makes one a Christian.  The author analyzed the Anglican rite of baptismal ritual as it is contained in The Book of Common Prayer in the light of Turner's theory of rituals.  He used missional theology as a lens to examine the rite of baptism in the Igbo context of eastern Nigeria. Dedicated missionary training communities utilize informal education to achieve these desired outcomes.  This project identified the predominant character qualities and attitudes found in various bodies of literature on missionary competency profiling.  Further, it demonstrates that informal and nonformal education are the most suitable methods for effective character and attitude formation in pre-field missionaries.  A correlation was presented based on the New Testament writings, demonstrating that Jesus Christ targeted character qualities and attitudes, and addressed these by using informal educational methods, and established an intentional community as the basis of addressing these training needs. The goal of this project was to train three youth pastors in recruiting volunteer youth leaders using a four-phase strategy involving prayer, effective leadership team, worship service vision casting, and personal contacting. The role of small group dynamics as described by social scientists was also presented. This project discovered and analyzed the potential for pastoral longevity in the Evangelical Free Church of America.  Advantages and disadvantages of both short-term and long-term pastorates were given.  The case was made biblically and practically for long-term pastorates.  EFCA pastors who had been in their churches ten years or longer were surveyed.  Longevity factors were then identified, corroborated, and analyzed.  Demographic factors concerning both pastors and their churches were included. Ten participants completed the workshop. A survey assessed participant's growth and development in biblical understanding, use of skills, appreciation for and willingness to exercise prayer, as well as self-esteem in regard to personal contributions and sense of partnership with God and others. The data supports the value of a workshop to equip teams. The implication of this project is that there is power in unity and sharing the tasks of ministry. This project describes the organization and execution of a discipling ministry as one part of an overall campus ministry effort in a Christian college.  The purpose of the campus discipling ministry was to strengthen and nurture the spiritual formation of students.  Eighty students who had participated in the formal discipling ministry completed Likert assessment tools.  The data was compiled and analyzed, discovering the strengths and weaknesses of the student discipling experience.
