Exegetical, sociological and resultant theological debates have raged and continue to rage within both scholarly circles as well as in the local church. Sadly, those who hold a high view of Scripture find this issue more divisive, bitter, and emotional than any other. Denominational and church splits have occurred as a result of the ongoing debate over women ministering in local churches. Apologetics from any number of viewpoints abound. Yet, there is a dearth of information that provides guidance to women considering a vocational call to the 'ministry of the Word'. Among the overwhelming number of things that have been written regarding women in the pulpit, little has been written about the women themselves. This is especially true of women who have been educated in evangelical institutions and continue to their commitment to an evangelical view of Scripture. This thesis explores the characteristics that contribute to the effectiveness of evangelical women pursuing God's call to serve as preacher and pastor to the local church. It identifies the barriers with which women must be prepared to deal in the pursuit of that calling and suggests skills that should be honed as well as the character traits, aptitudes and giftedness necessary for a woman to be effective. This thesis suggests areas where a woman, pursuing the call to preach the Word of God, may evaluate her own strengths and weaknesses in light of those who have preceded her, in order to most effectively use her time in preparation."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31b95ee0-a31c-43dc-8ec9-d97b30239a2d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132585206743040,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:05:43.790Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T10:18:08Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:11:13Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"b53353c3-2870-4316-8b63-6576fa5b706f","accessControl_ssim":["2380289a-a455-4f62-b532-04872bb17e9d"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["An analysis of the multi-campus approach of local church ministry utilizing First Baptist Church of Windermere, Florida as a pradigmatic model"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T10:18:07Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:21:52Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["133b7ea7-3540-47f0-ae4f-6532cf36da21"],"hasLease_ssim":["0d107d40-068d-4165-b26d-466e2ca2e7e7"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Southern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Thom S Rainer"],"year_tesim":["2005"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Charles T Carter"],"publisher_tesim":["Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville)"],"subject_tesim":["First Baptist Church (Windermere, Fla)","Church growth","Church and the world"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project examines the multi-campus model of church growth. Specifically this chapter argues that the multi-campus model is consistent with what the bible teaches concerning the purpose, mission, and organization of the church. Chapter 3 addresses the sociological factors that influence the church and how the multi-campus model of church growth addresses these. Chapter 4 examines six churches in North America that are implementing the multi-campus model. Throughout the process, the practicum observed how this concept of family could effectively function to support the participants to build a close relationship with each other and to identify themselves as part of the whole church family in a small group setting. The project was conducted for four weeks from May 22 to June 12, 2005. Fifteen people recruited from the church. The class met every Sunday from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. during the period. In the class, the participants explored the meaning of being a healthy church family in light of biblical and Korean family models and established an intimate relationship with each other. They were also encouraged to practice spiritual disciplines as daily assignments. The practicum enabled participants to identify the church as their own spiritual family and perceive one another as their brothers and sisters in Christ. Their spiritual growth has influenced other members to recognize a new movement around the church. Indeed, the class successfully inspired them to live as faithful members of God's family."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["9d359def-dc0f-4ac7-a978-8df771bc0984"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799720805743984640,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T03:11:49.140Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":13089,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
