The project director studied various resources in order to identify the key elements of an effective evangelistic expository preaching model.  Upon identifying the key elements of the evangelistic expository preaching model, the project director developed four sermons based on the elements of that model.  The project director then preached the sermons incorporating the key elements of the preaching model.  To insure improvement of the project director's preaching skills, the project director submitted all work to Robert L. The program presented the biblical basis for authority and the role of leadership in the local church.  Although secular leadership material along with material written for spiritual growth was utilized, the Bible was the primary source for discussion.  The program gave the participants a broad view of church governmental systems, pastoral authority, and biblical leadership principles.  The program also assisted each participant in developing a leadership strategy for his or her ministry.  The program was taught in five sessions. The survey data and curriculum development course taken helped guide the project director to develop teaching materials that equipped the select group of Georgia Baptists.  The equipping process included teaching biblical financial planning solutions to volunteer financial consultants in a two-day equipping retreat. The study briefly examines the historical origins of Episcopal sisterhoods.  It goes on to describe how religious life is lived today through a participant-observation study of three women's communities.  The study concludes that the twenty-first century may represent an important re-founding period in the history of Episcopal women's religious communities.  Recommendations for areas of further study are identified. Training included five instructional sessions in five successive weeks with assignments weekly geared to the personal application of session content.  The first two training sessions explored the elements of basic church greeting ministry and the expansion of greeting ministry responsibilities as presented in current church growth literature.  The third session examined the challenges of church greeting ministry as it is directed towards the incoming contemporary generations.  In the fourth session, themes were explored to prepare participants to share with church guests an expanded knowledge of Beth-el Baptist Church. A local church can be a catalyst for change by challenging its members to make room for the other, thereby experiencing growth and development as spiritual beings.  The thesis was developed in a project that included taped pre- and post- interviews with selected members of the congregation.
