Based upon the premise that the life of a congregation flows from the center point of worship, this thesis examines what impact an inclusive model for worship, including preaching, has on a congregation with a desire to be more totally inclusive. Although traditional diversity, such as multiculturalism, is a part of this inclusivity, it goes beyond that definition to encompass as many voices of congregants as possible. the impact of the basic premise is examined in light of the project experience, as well as supporting theologies, and homiletic trends. It goes on to evaluate the replicability of this experiment in other settings and makes recommendations for how to do so."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Christian Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["795851c5-e081-4353-9c00-2c554dd1d015"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791135245767016448,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:48:01.098Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:52:22Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:14:17Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"c12fa9d3-f19c-44a2-a998-b3e9a8be5749","accessControl_ssim":["7ff27b87-1026-436c-992d-34d5f59af838"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Preaching to the whole congregation: a study of spiritual type"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:52:21Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:41:07Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["4c2cfa5f-7ac9-420e-9fac-f206cc59ca2a"],"hasLease_ssim":["81c0424f-5503-43da-b91c-6228e9fc3b97"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Iliff School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Thomas H Troeger"],"year_tesim":["2005"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Ann H Heuer"],"publisher_tesim":["Iliff School of Theology"],"subject_tesim":["Protestantism","Spiritual life--Christianity","Preaching","Ware, Corinne"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project explores the relationship of a spiritual typology to preaching substance and style. This was accomplished by the use of qualitative and quantitative methods. Small group participants determined that they had experienced 'bounded set' behavior at this church. A significant relationship was found between their desire for peer approval and authority figure approval, and their tendency to conform to small group and congregational norms. Participants reported the highest desire for affiliation to their church, followed by a desire for peer approval, and last by a desire for approval by authority figures."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Ashland Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["beb93775-0b27-4cc6-9fb0-f2ad62e68517"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131477895806976,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:48:07.776Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:51:43Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:15:56Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"2b178f84-afe3-40e2-801b-6a807a7be1b0","accessControl_ssim":["b5edc82b-5d54-476f-9a64-99f3c0fe44e3"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Wholistic workplace ministry: an onsite employee benefit of care/coaching, connection/inspiration, enrichment"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:51:42Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:23:42Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["7f588b7d-e10e-474d-8ff3-477759d178f4"],"hasLease_ssim":["9a61ddcf-5fe3-46b9-9dae-a0a2f0d3a10a"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"advisor_tesim":["Margaret Benefiel"],"year_tesim":["2005"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Marguerite Marian Robbins"],"publisher_tesim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"subject_tesim":["Employees--Counseling of","Pastoral counseling"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Wholistic Workplace Ministry (WWM) is a new frontier for religiously pluralistic clergy.
