Four groups of active, long-term church members answered a questionnaire, pre-intervention, prepared by the author.  Three groups out of the four received the intervention of professionally marketed inventories with the fourth group being the control group.  Post-intervention all four groups again answered the author's questionnaire.  The changes they made on the questionnaire post-intervention showed no significant difference between the control group and those receiving intervention. Components of the project included:  exploring the demographics of the region to determine which people groups are unreached and unengaged, reviewing existing strategies of International Mission Board-related work in the region, developing a decision tree process to assign specific strategy types for engaging the unreached peoples, developing a plan to begin the initial engagement of the unengaged unreached people groups in the region, and presenting the plan to the regional leadership team for their review and consideration. The curriculum includes lesson plans and an interactive student devotional.  The devotional contains forty chapters which are designed to be read in consecutive days.  Numerous individuals, including experts in the field of the Holy Spirit, critiqued and commented about the curriculum before church members were equipped. The selected group received biblical and program materials as well as  instruction and encouragement for enlisting others to participate in an intercessory prayer group.  They also modeled prayer group sessions, which they personally lead, following participation in the workshop.  The workshop format utilized eight hours of training including and introductory session, six training sessions, and a final session addressing administration and the enlistment of participants. The goals of this project were (1) to research how to equip the selected group, (2) to develop a course of study that will equip the selected group, and (3) to equip the selected group to assist the pastor in counseling premarital couples.  The teaching methods administered during eight training sessions included lectures, videotapes, audiotapes, personal inventories, couple inventories, general evaluations, and homework assignments. The project drew its focus on a ten-week training seminar and a five-week in-prison disciple-making program to inmates. Chapter 2 addressed the biblical and theological issues surrounding the challenges of disciple-making.
