The project director trained and led a strategy development team composed of four Texas Baptist Student Ministry directors and two university students to develop the peer mentoring strategy.  The strategy development team and project director met together in six ninety-minute sessions. The first three sessions were devoted to demonstrating the need for a peer mentoring project with Texas Baptist Student Ministers and preparing the team to develop such a strategy.  The final three sessions focused on developing goals and objectives for each category of the strategy.  Following the sixth session, team members worked independently to complete the remaining parts of the strategy. The project director compiled and edited the final written strategy. The acquired information was used to compare the congregation's implied practice of hospitality with tangible experiences. After developing a Church Polity Statement and Ministry Handbook for the church, a training seminar was developed to help members understand their unique shape for ministry and either find an appropriate place of ministry within the church or deepen their commitment to ownership in their current place of service. This study tells the story of how the members were faithful in their responsibility to be an advocate for the rights of the marginalized. Results for the project included an empowered community where faith is enacted in intentional and missional forms by the congregation.
