Lessons learned: the importance of strategic partnerships; affirmation of those involved; engaging membership at all levels; reflection on best practices; analysis of needs and possible responses; perseverance. These interviews brought to the surface both issues in senior care ministry and the desire for partnership efforts potentially to ensue. The members were administered the survey and the interview as a pre-test and post-test. Between the surveys and the interviews, the sermons and the workshops were given as an intervention and as a treatment. They all showed improvement. Volunteers took part in an intensive eight-week Christian caregiving course.  The course was designed to equip members with the basic skills necessary to provide competent pastoral care.  Three evaluative tools were used as the primary data gathering instruments: a caregivers' survey, a caregivers' interest questionnaire, and the Christian caregivers' course evaluation.  Results indicated that participants had the passion, gifts, and skills necessary for a care-oriented ministry. Eighty-seven cross-cultural church planters and eleven mission agency executives were surveyed in order to understand better current practices of missionary selection and requirements for missionary service.  Church planters appraised the value of their pre-field training and practical experience.  Mission agency executives explained their process for candidate selection. The small group model includes both a didactic and a creative writing component. The adolescents, in addition to being very expressive about sexuality, gained understanding about the Bible and about sexuality. The course explored the Biblical call to transformation, stages of faith development, and twelve spiritual disciplines (solitude, silence, practicing the presence of Christ, fasting, secrecy, physicality and spirituality, Christian meditation, study, simplicity, rest, practicing justice, and perseverance).
