A seven-hour course was taught and two meetings of the graduates were conducted. The comparison of the post-test responses to the pre-test responses along with the post group interview showed a significant amount of comprehension and willingness to carry out economic empowerment ministry. The purpose was to persuade congregants that prayer for community transformation and rediscovery of the art of social holiness was crucial. The preacher taught a five-week study entitled Acts 29: Fifty Days to Invite the Holy Spirit. A control group received no treatment. Measurement instruments were questionnaires, a focus group, and individual interviews. The response was positive. A Scale of Readiness was also developed to help identify the levels of readiness of the student prospects.  The project was used as a pilot project at the Arlington Chinese Baptist Church, co-sponsored by the Baptist General Convention of Texas.  Eleven chapters, an introductory session, and two assimilation sessions comprise the project material.  The chapters were written to address frequently asked questions among Chinese students. Participants of a regular Bible study joined in a curriculum of a ten-week study of the Beatitudes and the entire congregation received a sermon on 'Understanding the ethics of Jesus.' Positive results in terms of the willingness of some members to practice the ethics of the Beatitudes were evident before the entire Bible study had been completed. Organizational change is a process that can be defined by common stages.  By studying organizational change, performing case studies, and drawing on my personal experience, specific stages of transformation for New Testament churches have been defined.  The case studies themselves are limited by criteria, which produce a beginning model.  The end result is defined by scriptural criteria for a New Testament church.  By examining the transformational process of the four case study churches, which have met the criteria, and researching written material on organizational transformation, a multi-stage process specific to churches emerged.  This process was then used as a comparison to my current context as the senior pastor of Northside Baptist Church.
