The case study will focus on the strategic decisions made in the midst of renewal. This model of ministry extracted the principles, critical components, and elements that have been primary for the transition. Six principles for growth and renewal were discovered in the literature and diagnose the reality of the Stillwater Church, confirming and denying the application of these principles. The chaplain conducted a pre-test spiritual assessment, three months of spiritual intervention, and a post-test spiritual assessment. The initial spiritual injuries scores were documented; then the chaplain provided spiritual intervention group therapy, individual counseling, and chapel services to address the patient's spiritual injuries and move the patient toward a spiritual awakening and increased sobriety. The subjects of gambling and pre-marital sex were addressed.  A control congregation heard only serious messages while a treatment congregation heard only humorous messages on these issues.  A rating scale survey, questionnaire, and focus groups measured the persuasive impact of the sermons.  The humorous sermons were found to be more persuasive. The third part explores the barriers faced by Korean churches in reaching out to the Emerging Generation. The fourth part develops a model of missional worship to accommodate the needs of the Emerging Generation. Three research methods, questionnaires, group interviews and case studies were used to gather primary data. Questionnaires were given to 145 members of the Emerging Generation in Daejon. The questionnaires explored the Emerging Generation's culture. While focusing on the seminary community, this qualitative research grows increasingly relevant to churches and organizations working cross-culturally, as America becomes more multicultural.  Research question: In light of the ATS commitment to spiritual formation in community, how can we better respond to the needs of international students. Through in-depth interviews and phenomenological research, three reports were presented to a team of experts: 1) verified interviews, 2) needs description, and 3) formational recommendations. The hypothesis was that the preaching moment as therapy would meet the needs of West Africans. A focus group was designed and implemented to achieve goals for this Model in Ministry. Results of the Model in Ministry indicated significant change in variables. Moreover, the preaching moment met the needs of the multicultural church by creating an environment for guidance, assurance, and sustaining collective acceptance among the congregants. Care provided is for missionaries themselves, mission organizations, and supporting churches.  The goal is to lead missionaries to become better prepared for mission fields and in home assignment, and to provide holistic care in personal development and career proficiency. Results indicate that the greatest difficulty is the cross-cultural social aspect, then the emotional aspect.  Married missionaries are more emotionally stable.
