As a result of this collaborative effort, a Shalom Zone and Community Development Corporation was developed. Both of these proved helpful to communities characterized by social fragmentation. The methodology employed was that of action research through the use of group meetings, questionnaires, and journaling. The findings indicated that collaboration in a community with multiple needs does not come easy, but can occur with persistent effort."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127999946424320,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:52:50.945Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:32:57Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T03:30:29Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"fbc2a406-dd2a-4101-8f5a-a98a3d376549","accessControl_ssim":["df72a322-0a2f-496c-bef5-950b01461a69"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Preaching as worship: a model and method for God-exalting sermons"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:32:57Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:19:29Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["2ca9fa84-ef68-49d8-8134-1e1256947386"],"hasLease_ssim":["54bd51a7-85f6-4634-b648-34938a011c7f"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Trinity Evangelical Divinity School"],"advisor_tesim":["David L Larsen"],"year_tesim":["2003"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["John David Erickson"],"publisher_tesim":["Trinity Evangelical Divinity School of Trinity International University"],"subject_tesim":["Expository preaching","Worship","Preaching--Biblical teaching"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Preaching is best understood as worship: proclaiming and catalyzing response to God-centered, properly executed Biblical exposition. The literature review focuses on the mission of the church, evangelism, conversion, the Holy Spirit's role in conversion, and evidences of conversion. The findings are threefold. First, conversion narratives at Vineyard Church of Columbus do not reflect traditional evangelical conversion categories. Second, the narratives did reflect a personal encounter with Jesus Christ.
