The situation of the diocese of Bismark is similar to most rural dioceses in the United States. Integrating gender studies, rural sociology, rural catechetical ministry and contemporary leadership theory, this thesis-project maintains that leadership development uniquely focused for women in rural catechetical ministry will increase their sense of self as leader and leadership practices. The study gives voice to rural women involved in catechetical ministry as they expressed themselves in various sessions. The leaders were trained to accomplish these purposes by learning a transitioning process which emphasized effective teamwork. The process of accomplishing the purpose of the project began with researching transitional approaches which have been used to transition Bible study groups into cell groups. Research focused on transitional methods that assist in changing from existing organizational structures into new organizational structures. The next stage of the project involved developing training materials for the purpose of equipping selected leaders to transition their small groups from Bible study small groups into purpose-driven, team-based cell groups. The materials were developed using a defined standard that is described in William R. Yount's book entitled Created to Learn. The final stage of the project involved the recruitment and training of selected Bible study leaders. All current Bible study leaders were invited to participate in the training process. The selected leaders who were trained consisted of those who agreed to attend all training sessions. The author examines the Diocese of Taita Taveta - geography, history and culture as well as the history of the Anglican Church and East African Revival. It presents church statistics from 1991-2000 and surveys three distinct groups of Anglicans: a- Anglicans (Waangilikana Damu), Irregular Anglicans (Waangilikana Jina) and Anglicans 'in diaspora'. Analysis indicates important pastoral factors to be addressed if growth is to be accelerated. Project presents theological reflection and pastoral response to the data. It suggests practical ways for reorienting Taita Taveta for accelerated growth."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129387391778816,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:14:54.116Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:28:02Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:19:19Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"c9878f1e-f4fd-4229-be5d-0106062bf9ac","accessControl_ssim":["19299863-aa6d-4ab0-a334-b143b1e8d98c"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Recovery of a Biblical worldview in a postmodern context informed by the Hebrew Scriptures as enhanced by graced interaction between gentile and Messianic Jewish Faith communities"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:28:02Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:55:07Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["63500d97-9513-45df-acf7-7687ed14bfd1"],"hasLease_ssim":["5c6dc1fa-dc00-47a7-9a5e-9cb9b944c55d"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry (Ambridge, PA)"],"advisor_tesim":["Jerry Smith"],"year_tesim":["2004"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Nicholas A Marziani"],"publisher_tesim":["Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry"],"subject_tesim":["Messianic Judaism","Judaism","Interfaith relations","Christianity","Bible--Study"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This study investigates focused and intentional interaction between Gentile and Messianic Jewish believers on the ability of Gentile Christians to appropriate and apply Hebrew biblical canon.
