A comprehensive three-stage adult discipleship program from introductory discipleship, to continuing discipleship, to reproductive discipleship was developed to address the need. The project had three specific goals. First, the project was designed to develop a higher level of spiritual maturity, faith, and commitment. A second goal was to equip members of Mount View to reproduce spiritual maturity, faith, and commitment in others. With the rapid growth of Christianity in India there are no other alternatives but to equip the lay people for the work. Second, this project will suggest methods for church-based training programs for lay church planters. This study consists of understanding the purpose of a local church and also demonstrates a biblical foundation for church-based training for lay church planters. This study will also define the role of the pioneer workers as trainer. The authors also suggest methods on how to organize training program, including courses and subjects, which need to be taught. The destiny of India lies in the hands of lay people. Ch. 1. Introduces Mount Olive Baptist Church and its surrounding community. The demographics of the community and the church show that the congregation places its focus on the development of its youth and believes in the value of education. Ch. 2 addresses the biblical and theological issues surrounding youth. Ch.3 sets forth a paradigm for understanding the growth and development of youth. Ch. 4 Explains the process used in implementing the project. The pre and post seminar questionnaires and the focus group were the tools used to evaluate the effectiveness of the seminar. The final chapter of the project focuses on analysis and evaluation. This work contends that effective youth ministry must be done from a holistic perspective. A holistic youth program seeks to engage the young person at every level of their being--spiritually, socially, academically, psychologically, and physically. The author gives a practical method for starting a cell church in Bangkok, including prayer, establishing leadership cell, transplanting, opening cell groups, and organizing a cell church.
