It explores the use of theological reflection by supervisor and church planter in order to be relevant in an ever-changing ministry environment.    The method used for this project is what is known as the 'grounded theory' approach, because the project calls for qualitative research that seeks to include diversity and quality assessment, both biblically and theologically, to build theory grounded in reality. The guiding premise of the work proposes the reconfiguration of the church in Cuba for its role in a maturing revolutionary context through leadership development that is relationally driven and socially relevant.  The aim of this project is to contextualize methodology and curriculum by building an on-going learning team capable of systems thinking in the development of an indigenously sustainable training process.  The thesis suggests three avenues through which future leaders can build toward a new leadership-training paradigm for their city and nation. Research included an investigation of acting techniques, observation of videotaped sermons, engagement with a Parish Project Group who assisted in the preparation and critique of sermons, and feedback achieved through questionnaires and group discussions. The psycho-physical nature of public performance can be described by four terms--atmosphere, connection, concentration, radiation. Using the Whiteheads' model and method of doing practical theology, this study has moved from practice, to theory, to practice. A biblical interpretation of suffering, and a pastoral approach to coping with the problem, are suggested. These factors transcend qualifying marks of congregations such as race, geography, size, age, and theological distinctives.  This project employed factor analysis to compare the independent variable of membership growth with the dependent variable of factors presumed to indicate church growth and church health.  The most significant factor difference between growing and declining churches was need-based programs.  The research affirms the significance of strictness and meaning for growth. The project invited lay people and clergy, engaged in the praxis of ministry to form a small peer group, to make a covenant as a group, to write theological reflections for shared discussion and group discussion and group reflection, and to move through a process of evaluation of this group experience in light of their ministries and faith lives. One of the assertions of this project is that people of faith and ministry, when engaged in theological reflection with peers realize a transformation of their faith life and in their praxis of ministry. And two, peers whose ministries and faith lives have been transformed by their experiences in peer theological reflection through God's grace will then become vehicles of transformation to the church at large. The residents and staff members who live and work in nursing homes too often find that nursing homes, as institutions, deepen their need instead of meeting it. Christian nursing homes, while not immune to institutional problems, can offer caring communities in which there is a profound integration of a reasonable accommodation to human need and the promise of reconciliation to human brokenness and alienation. It begins with a study of the lives of Moses and Paul, and then reviews select, current leadership literature. This project interviewed 14 Assemblies of God leaders, and found that a pre-adolescent experience of faith in Christ and a stable home life were foundational in their lives. The experiment involved six adult participants and five resource guests, and lasted eleven weeks in the Autumn of 2002. The research project included role-playing and actival meetings with Jewish guests. Results were both academic and existential.
