A small group met for twelve weekly meetings to learn to practice spiritual disciplines and discover their spiritual gifts.  A pre-test and post-test were administered as well as a self-evaluation and course evaluation. The results indicated that environmental values are not emphasized or integrated with religious values. The methodology used to achieve this was a pretest survey, a four-sermon series, and a post test survey.  The findings of this project confirmed that there is a definite relationship between expository preaching and spiritual growth. A manual used for session content was written.  The goal was to make membership meaningful at the church.  Three seminars were evaluated. The thesis was field-tested by two groups in two separate churches.  Each group followed the theological basis and the guidelines that were recommended for building and implementing a vision that was to lead to a new ministry within each church. A new ministry was born within each church.  The process and the experience of the process brought forth a positive and renewing effect upon the participants and spread beyond them.
