It is not a new question, nor does there appear to be a clear, united resolution.  In some discussions, there has been more heat than light.  The Baptist churches are in a state  of transition. However, in the meantime, how does a woman who claims the doctrine of Baptists as her own respond authentically to her faith when the institutions of that faith erect barriers to her? How does she personally interpret her faith in a meaningful way? What avenues of ministry are open to her? What impact does her ministry have on the work and theology of her denomination? What is the experience of a Baptist woman who is called to minister professionally? What has been the response of Baptists to her ministry? This project evaluates the steps and role a Baptist pastor and moderator of the Northern Virginia (NOVA) Baptist Association, namely Rev. The project's purpose is to help the congregation effectively assimilate new people by placing them in fulfilling church service.  To accomplish this, consultants were trained to use the MBTI to place people effectively in church volunteer ministry.  This project concludes that Myers-Briggs is not an appropriate tool for 'placing' people in ministry.  The ethics of Myers-Briggs do not encourage such usage. The author designed and presented a program using Scriptures identified by the Montessori based Catechesis of the Good Shepherd curriculum as those that draw young children to relationship with God and to meditation. Presentation used and displayed concrete representations children use in extended interaction with Scripture. Discussion focuses on the problem of suffering and belief in a God of love.  The status and role of traditional and recent theodices within a pastoral context, liturgical issues, including the doctrine of God and Universalism in funeral rites, and the nature of trauma and its personal implications, are all explored.  Case studies involving tragic bereavement through suicide by drowning with no body to grieve over;  pre-natal bereavement of embryo twins;  and a neo-natal death of a seven day old baby are presented.  Short-term support of funeral services is considered, along with the establishment and development of longer-term support strategies of a Pastoral team, Pastoral library and Pastoral guidelines.
