During a ten-week period a program of preaching augmented by development and presentation of a missions curriculum culminates in a five-day missionary conference.  Missions education is accomplished through teaching in small groups and coeducational classes, field reports of missionaries, and expository preaching of missions texts.  Missions involvement of church members is measured by participation in meetings, acceptance of partnership in unit missions projects in Sunday School, entrance into a one-year prayer covenant with a missionary family, and commitment to weekly financial missions support. When church leaders are able to respond appropriately to conflict situations, they develop within the congregation a healthy environment conducive to unity.  Ten sessions with project participants, using common language rather than technical terms, involve discussion, role play, and case studies. The project designed a curriculum of eight training sessions and five strategy-development sessions.  The entire church heard a series of eight sermons on the life and mission of the church.  The project studied an experimental group and two control groups, using a pretest and posttest to measure cognitive changes in the groups.  Statistical analysis of the tests reported a change in Control Group A and a significant change in the experimental group. Following the example of Jesus and his disciples, they have also emphasized medical, agricultural, and educational ministries.  One area that has perhaps been neglected has been Christian counsel. This project develops teaching and resource materials to train a small group of Baptist ministers to deal effectively with the issue of polygamy. One of the most significant biblical texts pertaining to discipleship is the Sermon on the Mount. This project assists a small group of Christians to grow in knowledge and understanding of the Sermon on the Mount, demonstrating and applying this knowledge and understanding in their lives. This project produces a study guide to be used by group members in daily family instruction. Weekly learning activities involve entire families in discipleship, supplemented by a sermon series in the local church.
