These words describe the dynamics which occur in pastoral care visits with older people.  The project states a brief definition of each word as a pastoral care concept.  It conducts a biblical word study and, through a questionnaire, asks peers in ministry (chaplains, visitation pastors, students) to critique the validity of the proposed approach. Part one focuses on the paradigms that determine the why, the what, the who and the how of preaching.  Part two focuses on the partnership aspect of preaching.  It includes sample sermons, responses and lesson plans to help a class get more out of the sermon.  The project concludes that many old paradigms of preaching are still valid and should be reclaimed and mastered but new paradigms also are needed for this day. The project used this dialogical method which involved fourteen persons meeting weekly for four weeks.   In each meeting, pairs of participants privately shared faith stories with each other.  The pairing changed weekly.  The author interviewed each participant after the project. The project explores this hypothesis in light of certain theological and sociological positions which the author determined to be consistent with the nature of the church and 'folk societies'.  The hypothesis is seen to be espescially appropriate to the small church.  The project describes the activities in the parish aimed at the re-appropriation of its heritage. The three-fold purpose of this project was to engage participants in: 1) reflection upon biblical, theological and experiential dimensions of the Lord's Supper; 2) The planning of communion liturgy; and 3) experiences of 'communion as community' through celebration of the eucharist.  The author led a series of four 'Didactics and Discussion' sessions in which he presented research on communion theology and history that enabled group discussion.  Two eucharistic liturgies were planned and enacted. It relates its findings to a church which exists in an individualistic society, but which is committed ethically to becoming more community oriented.  The project describes five phases of development: 1) the establishment of a congregational unemployment task force; 2) the involvement of the Butler Unemployment Task Force (BUTF); 3) the incorporation of human resource agencies; 4) action taken by the BUTF on behalf of unemployed and underemployed; 5) the incorporation of the wider church.
