The writer reviewed relevant literature, wrote a position paper and field-tested a praxis section resulting from the study. There is a need to identify the link between the ministry of early Christians and the contemporary situation. This project researches, designs, and carries out an experiential adult seminar on sacramental healing ministries.  The author discovers that adult experiential education for sacramental healing ministries provides a link between the ministry of Jesus, the early church and the contemporary situation. The paper gives a biblical and historical overview and discusses contemporary objections to healing ministry.  It examines three settings where healing ministry is practiced. The author clarifies his theological understanding and traces through journal entries his initial experiential involvement in healing ministry.  He shares reflections/learnings which may be of value to others interested in beginning a practice of healing ministry. Among these learnings is the importance of empathic prayer and the engendering of hope.  Conveying God's care and desire for wholeness for creation is crucial.  Healing ministry should be an integral part of pastoral care ministry as well as of the congregation's life and ministry.
