A sermon evaluation form was developed through research and consultation with Hershael York, Professor of Christian Preaching at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Six sermons were preached and then evaluated by the project director, eight congregational evaluators and four peer evaluators. Seven pastors were enlisted for a one-day seminar intended to generate a measurable increase in appreciating and understanding manifestos for ministry. Positive attitudinal changes were observed by means of a testing instrument and exit interviews.
