This project develops a guide for writing process notes regarding a student's relationship with God and offers recommendations for its use. Works by Paul Tillich, Ben C Johnson, and Thomas C Oden are used to analyze and interpret process notes of 10 CPE students at the University of Virginia. An in-service workshop was conducted with nine supervisors in one training center.  'The Message of the Psalms,' by Walter Brueggemann was used as the text, along with selected psalms of praise, lament, and thanksgiving.  The Bruggemann grid of orientation was used to frame the teaching of theological integration.
