Yet, women's education in spiritual and biblical matters ought to be taught in the church to equip them for the Great Commission mandate. This thesis-project explores the effectiveness of an existing spiritual education curriculum in the form of a mentoring program for college women. The evaluator uses the positions of women's epistemological development proposed by Belenky and her colleagues as a basis for evaluation. The author also discusses various women of the Bible as they relate to the mentoring program and one's understanding of how the program ought to be restructured. Considering that many churches are declining or have plateaued, this study sought to discover practical, effective strategies and techniques that have contributed to overall church growth by baptism and conversion. The author asked what these practices were, how they were taught, and how they were modeled by the leadership. The author's research preceding the case study gives a review and foundation from the early church's teaching and experience in evangelism, discipleship, missions, pastoral leadership, and church growth to the present. A closer look was given at the causes and effects of little to no obedience and commitment to the Great Commission. In light of such reflection, this dissertation will address the gap between these diverse expressions of Christian faith and practice and propose a published work that offers a new and unique paradigm which reflects the fullness of the Great Commission. The new paradigm will propose a model of everyday witness that is authentic and relevant to believers and unbelievers alike.
