The congregation voted to relocate its entire ministry and this study will document the need for the expansion project. This evaluation will analyze the functionality of the future facility, the number of personnel currently involved in ministries at the church, the financial considerations given to a project of this magnitude, and the time involvement of the volunteer force of Calvary Bible Church. The new facility was intentionally designed to double the present facility's capacity. Our new facility will exceed the present occupancy needs and that the church finances will be seen as a contributing factor in the future ministry of the church. The author used 'The Self-Guided Church Consultant' as a method of study. The goals and objectives were designed to be reached within three to five years.  The goals included the establishment of reachable ministry goals, improvement of the Bible teaching program, greater involvement in outreach, and greater love for fellow members.  The congregation was given opportunity, through open forums, to give valuable insight to the planning. The results were approved by the congregation's acceptance of the Guidebook, a new Glorieta plan to improve teacher training and the relocation of the church by 1992. Practically, the study applies the professional research and analysis to a specific circumstance -- that of the Fresno First Church of the Nazarene.  The goal of the paper is to find biblically and theologically informed alternatives for increased church growth effectiveness.
