A small Wesleyan congregation in Ontario was taken on a journey from tacit to intentional Trinitarianism by emphasizing the Trinity in sermons, sacraments, study, worship, and mission. Resources included Natural Church Development's Three Colors of Ministry and Color Your World, Trinitarian liturgical material, and a self-developed small group curriculum. The problem at hand is answering the question of how a nine year old church remains committed to honoring God and making more disciples for Jesus Christ. The hypothesis is that if that church remains committed to a biblical vision, it will remain honoring to God and making disciples. The project tested this hypothesis with a congregation survey to understand attitudes towards Timberwood Church's vision. Chapter one gave the history of Timberwood, which started on Easter Sunday 2004. Chapter two outlined some biblical and theological foundations that support the biblical vision. Chapter three allowed the reader to place Timberwood in the history of evangelical thought and practice. Chapter four tested the hypothesis with a project that surveyed the regular attendees and members of Timberwood. This survey explored their understanding of the DNA and values of Timberwood Church as well as attitudes towards the same. The final chapter attempted to create a competency model for a disciple at Timberwood Church."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31b95ee0-a31c-43dc-8ec9-d97b30239a2d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791130420195098624,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:31:19.074Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:08:49Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:35:18Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"b9b6ee6f-c3da-4d0c-9fdd-d31b79137b8b","accessControl_ssim":["d7037ae3-1784-4354-b915-6261e85bab38"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Through the portal: 'a picture is worth a thousand words'"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:08:48Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:28:52Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["2d010203-3ad7-4086-8395-56f0c30c2b44"],"hasLease_ssim":["6dcaffcd-a225-4178-8972-fbd8a21890eb"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Chicago Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Verlee A Copeland"],"year_tesim":["2014"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Judith I Scott"],"keyword_tesim":["Congregations--Self-evaluation"],"publisher_tesim":["Chicago Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Lectionary preaching--United Church of Christ","Lectionaries","Preaching"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The Evangelical United Church of Christ is located in an insular ethnic German community in the geographic center of the contiguous United States. The project included preaching the Lectionary Biblical text enhanced by artistic renderings of that text in custom-designed bulletin covers to provide visual reinforcement to the sermon as delivered orally with the goal of eliciting greater interest and meaning relative to knowledge of the living God."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Chicago Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["2ed862c2-32c4-448b-95c8-4a58c3d74b5b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791134449396613120,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:35:21.620Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:56:28Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:43:16Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"716f7fad-fb04-4dc2-8f42-012b0a282325","accessControl_ssim":["9c47a6e6-3974-4301-865c-a951e4766803"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Designing a strategy to transition Fellowship of the Rockies, Colorado Springs, Colorado, into a multi-site church throughout the Colorado Springs metropolitan area"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:56:27Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:27:26Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["ce2fd4aa-eee3-4965-bf29-424d84f073e3"],"hasLease_ssim":["f093a725-5f1f-4c30-bdfe-00f8be8f19b2"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Damian O Emetuche"],"year_tesim":["2013"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Stewart W McWilliams"],"keyword_tesim":["Congregations--Self-evaluation"],"publisher_tesim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Multi-site churches","Church group work","Planning","Church development, New","Fellowship of the Rockies (Colorado Springs, Colo)","Church"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of this project was to design a strategy to transition Fellowship of the Rockies, Colorado Springs, Colorado, into a multi-site church throughout the Colorado Springs metropolitan area.
