It will begin by learning from biblical teaching and leadership archetypes as well as best practices among renewal movements.  A program for development of staff and supervisors is implemented: (1) national student leadership conference, (2) internship, (3) staff training in fundamentals, (4) regional staff training, (5) NVEST, (6) emerging leaders, and (7) MD training. The research delineates the main modalities of para-church organizations including its mission statement, foundations, goals, target groups, programs, projects, management of resources, leadership structure, etc.  Volunteers and fund-raising activities are considered equally important and elaborated in separate chapters.  The research also lists humanitarian programs, projects and agape practical experiences in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, and Kosovo. The fruition of this vision is to establish an urban ministry resource center to serve churches, thus promoting the spread of the Gospel.  The Emmanuel Gospel Center in Boston was the model.  Social analysis, study of urban Christian literature, relevant biblical texts, hexagoning and implementing ministries around the felt needs of urban Christian leaders were the methodology.  This research reveals that churches in Boston and Springfield are multiplying. This study seeks a documented and experiential framework by reviewing a candidacy and call approval process in a local presbytery to determine whether and how the church should engage with parachurch ministry. The answer was discovered through organizational research and interviews of leaders within thirteen parachurch organizations. Eight key lessons were identified: (1) The board is responsible for leadership transition. (2) Transition requires a well-articulated vision. (3) Transition must be an ongoing process at all levels of the organization. (4) Transition takes time. (5) The new leader's job description and profile must be developed. (6) The process must be well-defined. (7) Determine the role of the former CEO within the organization. (8) The respective functions of the board and the new CEO must be defined.
