To answer this question, the author used three research methods: interviews and questionnaires; collection of demographic data; and meetings with sponsoring churches in the USA and members of the Annual Meeting of the United Methodist Church in Cameroon. The transition group follows a team leadership discipling approach on a 'coleadership with headship' model. The project observes the transition and interviews the participants formally and informally.
