There is a discussion of the meaning of the priesthood, basing Bible and Catholic Church documents, and its challenges and demands. Importance of positive psychology in the spiritual journey is also studied. The interview responses have guided the development of this thesis in this direction. It examined the biblical terms for power and correlated these with the organizational perspectives on power.  The project design used 'The Power Management Survey' to compare perceptions.  The pastor felt motivated primarily by affiliation and friendship.  The laity felt the pastor was motivated primarily by socialized power.  A democratic leadership style was present.
