The author studied clergy-artists, burn-out and renewal, and the artistic heritage of Charles Wesley. Through interviews with several clergy-artists and accounts of one pastor's artistic journey in three churches including art ministry in the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church, the author unpacks the nuances of creativity and spirituality as it relates to this dual calling of artist and pastor, and offers insights particular to clergy-artists, their churches, and their supervisors."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799718117208752128,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:29:05.153Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:01:20Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:28:32Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"03954493-6a19-475a-84a6-fdf4ebb1a40a","accessControl_ssim":["f7d78d75-6c52-4f9b-bf73-1084e84143bb"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Intercessory prayer ministry as a spiritual tool to manage conflicts in the church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:01:19Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:13:28Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["6198ee2c-4925-47c7-b4c7-de24a75fe699"],"hasLease_ssim":["ef85d864-9d1d-46ce-9a8c-038092b71138"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Lewis A Parks"],"year_tesim":["2009"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. The spirituality of prayer is vital both in an individual life and in the life of a community. When faced with personal difficulties, family issues, social conflicts, and relationship problems, we pray and ask others to pray for us. It is natural for us to ask for intercessory prayer when troubles come in our daily lives. A theology of prayer regards prayer as a key to all these troubles. I will provide a variety of evidence from the Bible and theological theories about intercessory prayer and discuss how to systematize intercessory prayer as a tool to handle conflicts in church ministry."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799718083738206208,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:28:33.233Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":5,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
