Effectiveness of the program was evaluated by African American male and female pastors. Ratings were grouped and analyzed by gender; differences were not statistically different. Both groups affirmed value in the program's capacity to facilitate family discussions about organ donation and to underscore the need for donation in African American communities. To a lesser extent, evaluators responded favorably to the program's capacity to correct informational barriers. Four lectures delivered to an adult church school class move from a survey of related biomedical questions to focus on the anencephalic matter.
