The study attempts to ascertain if those ordained by the church claim to be in the experience of entire sanctification or if the doctrine is understood.  Each ordinand in the United States and Canada in 1980 was questioned concerning his understanding, experience, and the methodology employed by the Board of Orders and Relations in evaluating qualifications for the role of elder. Questionnaires were also sent to the chairman of the Board of Orders and Relations of each district.  Although results of the questionnaire show strengths in the examination procedures, weaknesses also appear. The Bible does not mandate any one form of worship.  Likewise, the churches studied worshipped in different ways, reflecting the culture and resources that we have today.  The scriptures do suggest a balance of revelation and response in worship.  This response must be wholehearted and respectful of God's revelation. The level of a child's involvement in each segment of the liturgy is ascertained through interviews with and questionnaires completed by children and their parents.  Worship is defined in terms of the biblical materials.  A survey of child development literature is employed in the creation and evaluation of components for worship which involve children.  Planning resources for a church year are developed.
