A Likert scale was used.  The results showed very little difference between ABC Wisconsin ministers and ABC USA ministers. The participants in the research were elders in congregations of the Reformed Church in America where the pastor had served at least ten years.  A questionnaire allowed those elders to rank eight areas of ministry and to give an indication of the health of the pastoral relationship. They provided data which proved this hypothesis: given the opportunity, ELC-PNG ministers and administrators can realistically reflect their socio-religious situations, accurately describe their needs in ministry and thereby develop continuing education programs to meet those needs. By means of a survey among 1,800 clergy in Minnesota, it was found that many clergy came into ministry from an extreme family system. Research was based on models of education in the Bible, and through an historical survey of ministry formation methods with some examples of alternative methods used in North America.  Questionnaires and interviews were used to determine the need for education by extension among General Baptists.
