The author considers the question: Is the Western understanding of spiritual formation appropriate to the majority world? Three cultural differences are compared: individualism/communalism, time/events and literate/sensate learning styles. The focus was to make accessible to non-clinical inner healing ministers recent psychological and neuroscientific findings about attachment wounding. Twelve participants assessed the resource by an instrument that included Likert-scale quantitative and open-ended qualitative questions. Quantitative data revealed strong agreement that the resource provided a basic understanding of attachment wounds. Qualitative findings revealed 100% of the participants described the resource as helpful. A survey offering ideals evaluated how well pastors yielded to God within their ministry vocations. Demographics provided insight into detailed kenotic inclination. As a result, pastors showed areas of resistance and embrace of kenosis. Demographics illustrated kenosis highly among female clergy and deacons. Length of time in ministry reflected an ebb and flow.
