The purpose concerned understanding the state of spiritual formation practices among the missionaries as well as discerning the measure of influence they exert on the three aforementioned dimensions of missionary life. The project utilized the Spiritual Well Being Scale developed by Ellison and Paloutzian and a researcher-designed instrument to gather the information for statistical analysis and correlations. The results indicated that the practice of regular spiritual disciplines definitely influence spiritual well-being within the population of missionaries of Greater Europe Mission. However, with regard to perceived ministry effectiveness and retention, the results were mixed and only a weak relationship was indicated, which was insufficient to meet the criteria of this study for a valid correlation. This is being undertaken to produce greater effectiveness in the preparation and training of new candidates. The agency's candidates are Christian professionals who are placed in very difficult fields. Increasing the effectiveness of pre-field selection and training will help insure long-term presence in these fields. An overview of biblical themes and a literature review found that there are many areas to identify and assess. The use of two survey instruments was employed to gather data from field leaders and workers. Subjects were exposed to five different expository sermons in the two sermon forms and their responses to a questionnaire were collected the next day (N-1,000).  There was no significant difference between the sermon forms and the subjects ability to recall the big idea.  Narrative sermons are as equally effective as propositional sermons in recall. The test group included the elders and deacons of the Peachtree City Church of Christ in Peachtree City, Georgia. The focal point of the project was an eight-week leadership class. Two measurement tools were used: the General Self-Efficacy Scale Shearer and the General Perceived Self-Efficacy Scale. Significant increases were recorded in understanding of purpose. Corresponding to this increased mission clarity were minimal elevations in self-efficacy. Culture change can occur over time with theological focus, personal security, and the application of frames thinking. Leaders learned the proposed model of culture change and chose to implement it in their groups. Students were surveyed before and after the project to measure changes in the group's culture.
