In this project, Wesley's means of grace ' Bible studies, prayers, the Holy Communion, Christian fellowships, and spiritual journaling' has been applied and the purpose is spiritual growth of participants with progressive changes into holiness in all realms. The research consisted of an examination of the order of salvation with biblical, theological and historical considerations, and tests measuring participants' understanding of the process with follow-up focus groups afterwards. The 'reason' chapter is drawn from the author's ministerial experience in the Caribbean and highlights some Jamaican theologies of fasting from Christian and quasi-Christian practitioners.  The 'experience' chapter outlines a seven-week group fasting experience led by the student.  The group was pre- and post-tested. The curriculum, written and taught by the pastor/researcher in Spanish, followed some of John Wesley's practices. The curriculum was tested with a small group of church leaders, many of whom had never received any formalized instruction in the spiritual disciplines and the Wesleyan theological tradition. The sessions included reading on spirituality and its development in the Wesleyan tradition, small group discussions, and the practice of spiritual disciplines between sessions.
