The author studied six participants as they progressed through ACLDM by engaging in three phases of learning while in consultation with three supporting parties to determine if leadership growth occurred. The methodology used was primarily qualitative research and used methods of survey, observation and guided interviews to collect data. The research indicated that every participant experienced perceived growth while going through ACLDM. The author used qualitative research through survey and individual interviews to identify internal and external barriers, which inhibit the discipleship of the BMBs and their growth in the Christian faith. He then recommended culturally relevant remedies.
